A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Office of the Superintendent beginning at 2:15 p.m. Present for the meeting were Martha Laflamme, Nicole Plourde, Brian Leclerc, John Moulis, and Marion Y. Huntley.
MINUTES On a motion by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Brian Leclerc, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the December 17, 2008 meeting, public and non public sessions with the amendment stating that Nicole Plourde made the motion to close Bartlett School and that it was seconded by Martha Laflamme. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS A motion was made by Nicole Plourde, seconded by Brian Leclerc, to approve the warrants dated December 29, 2008 & January 12, 2009 for the amount of $4,123.00 and $228,490.19 respectively. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative. .
STAFFING On a motion by Martha Laflamme, seconded by Nathan Morin, the Board voted to accept the following staffing changes:
NOMINATIONS:
Richard Sarette - Grade 8 Boys Basketball Coach
Sarah Comtois - Reading First Educational Assistant - Brown School
Paula Landers - Educational Assistant - Marston School
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a criminal record check. The motion passed unanimously
ADJOURN On a motion by Brian Leclerc, seconded by Nicole Plourde, the Board voted to adjourn it's meeting at 2:30 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
